Job Guide

Job Guide is written and produced for Year 10 students. This resource includes information on over 500 occupations, contact details for training providers as well as job search information and advice.

Job Guide is distributed to all Australian schools with Year 10 students in March/April of each year. Class sets are distributed annually to schools with Year 10 students. A sliding scale formula, based on Year 10 student numbers provided by state, territory and non-government education authorities, will ensure that every Year 10 student will continue to have access to the Job Guide. Schools are also encouraged to use the website and the Job Guide CD-ROM, which can be freely burned and supplied to a student wishing to use the resource at home.

Reference copies are distributed to senior schools or colleges with Year 11 and 12 enrollments. Job Guide is also distributed to career advisers at all TAFEs and universities as well as youth-focused Australian Government funded programs that provide career advice and support to Year 10 students.

All enquiries about eligibility for copies of Job Guide should be forwarded to the Job Guide mailbox at jobguide@deewr.gov.au. All email correspondence will be replied to within 10 working days.

Job Guide 2011 is available to order online.
