When the Prime Minister visited Our Lady of the Rosary, St Marys in Sydney to listen to parents’ views on the newly released Gonski Review into school education funding, she discovered parents were passionate about the need for equitable funding.

Western Autistic School going from strength to strength
Thirty years ago Valerie Gill taught six children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the local church hall. This week Mrs Gill was joined by the Prime Minister Julia Gillard at the official opening of the award-winning Western Autistic School’s new $2 million teaching pool.

When the Parkhurst State School in Rockhampton wanted to build a new library with their Building the Education Revolution funding from the Australian Government, they took a bold and exciting step into the future that has been rewarded with a top prize in the Queensland regional architecture awards and beaming smiles from students, teachers and other members of the community.
